You can get to the apartments by bus, by car or by taxi. To get to the apartments by bus there are three options.
Walk to Bus Stop "Ajruport 2" (Approx. 4 mins walk). Board Bus No. X2 towards San Giljan. After 2 Stops alight at Bus Stop "Paola 2". Walk towards Bus Stop "Paola 3" (Approx. 1 min walk). Board Bus No. 81 towards Marsaxlokk . After 19 stops alight bus at Xatt is-Sajjieda, Marsaxlokk (Marsaxlokk Centre). Walk to your destination for about 2 mins.
Walk to Bus Stop "Ajruport 2" (Approx. 4 mins walk). Board Bus No. X3 towards Bugibba. After 3 Stops alight bus at Lourdes. Walk towards Lourdes Bus Stop (Approx. 1 min walk). Yes, we can organize airport transfer. When you book directly with us (terms and conditions apply), you can also book a taxi service at an additional cost. Kindly contact us at email@example.com and we will be more than happy to answer all your questions with regards to airport transfer. Prices vary on the number of persons and time of day.
No, however penthouses have a 6 person Jacuzzi.
We regret that animals are not allowed to stay in the apartments or in the common areas except for special circumstances.
Quayside Apartments reserves the right to charge you for any damages or breakages that are not of an accidental nature as well as for any items which are found to be missing after your stay. The necessary charges will be applied to your debit/credit card or invoiced (in the case of payment made by cheque). If we realise that certain damages and breakages have been caused by you after departure then you will be notified in writing and asked to settle the charges as outlined.
The standard check-in time is between 14:00hrs and 16:00hrs. Check-out time is between 08:00hrs and 10:00hrs. Kindly advise us when you have an indication of estimated arrival time prior to your arrival. If you intend to check in after 16:00hrs then please let us know beforehand since if you do not arrive by 16:00hrs then we are expected to treat you as a no-show. This means that your booking will be cancelled and the room will be made available for other customers.
It is sometimes possible to check in earlier. However, this depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Late check-out will be available subject to availability. Keeping of apartment charges are applicable.
We don't have any bars or restaurants however the apartment is a few metres from numerous family run restaurants & bars.
No, we do not have a gym however there are two fully equipped gyms in nearby towns Zejtun and Marsascala. These gyms accept daily and weekly memberships. Distance from Marsaxlokk to Zejtun – 1 miles/2 km (approx. 5 min drive). Distance from Marsaxlokk to Marsascala – 3 miles/5 km (approx. 8 min drive)
Yes we do have a lovely common garden with matured citrus trees.
Yes we do have a common Barbeque (BBQ) area with a large charcoal BBQ unit catering for 15 people, complimented with a lovely patio furnished with Rattan furniture.
The currency in Malta is EURO.
The electricity voltage in Malta is at 240 volts. At the apartments we have Plug Type "G" as used in Great Britain. The Type G electrical plug has three rectangular blades in a triangular pattern and has an incorporated fuse.
No, a doctor is not available, but we have a doctor that can call at the apartments when contacted by our residents and one can also contact or visit a private hospital which is in Zabbar or visit the Public Clinic in Paola. Both Private Hospital and Public Clinic have doctors on 24 hours a day basis. Distance from Marsaxlokk to Zabbar – 4 miles/7 km (approx. 10 min drive). Distance from Marsaxlokk to Paola – 3 miles/6 km (approx. 10 min drive).
Yes we do cater for single or twin occupancy with the opportunity of a sofa bed which sleeps two.
All apartments have a smart TV along with a choice of EURO channels. air-conditioned bedrooms, granite kitchenette top, including fridge/freezer, 2 gas hobs, microwave/oven and many other kitchen amenities, heating, free Wi-Fi internet, a safety deposit box, shower room, continuous hot water since bathrooms are serviced by LPG geysers, walk-in wardrobe, sofa bed, iron and hair dryer. Complimenting these self-catering apartments are characteristic features such as ancient flagstone and patterned old Maltese floor tiles, stone slab floors, masonry stone arches, stone ceiling slabs (known as 'xorok' in Maltese), heavy wooden ceiling beams, large solid steel front door hooks, rustic front door knobs and many other authentic features. All apartments lead to a common mature garden including a Barbeque (BBQ) area serviced by a large charcoal BBQ unit catering for 15 people and complimented with a lovely patio area furnished with Rattan furniture.
In addition to the above, first floor apartments enjoy the benefit of a front balcony while the penthouses situated on the top floor each have a large front terrace equipped with 6 person Jacuzzi, sunbathing area, charcoal BBQ, outdoor dining and washing machine.
Yes, ironing facilities are provided in every apartment.
Yes, hairdryers are available in every apartment.
The rates charged are per person or couples.
All apartments are one bedroom with the exception of the penthouses which are 2 bedrooms. Apartments ideally accommodate 2 persons however a maximum of 4 persons can be lodged. 2 in the bedroom with a sleeping set up of either a double bed or 2 single beds, while the remaining person / s can be accommodated on a double sofa bed in the living room. The penthouses on the other hand can accommodate 4 persons with a set up of either double beds or single beds. For one's convenience a sofa bed is also available in the penthouses.

All rooms have two twin beds that can be zipped up (to become a double bed) upon request.
To check-in at the apartment you need to be at least 18 years old.
Yes, Free Wi-Fi internet is available in the apartments and common areas. You will be provided with the Wi-Fi internet user name & password upon arrival. In the rooms once also has the option of connecting direct via Ethernet.
No, all our apartments have a shower.
All rooms are equipped with a smart TV and thus one has access to view channels and / or programs transmitted via internet. However a choice of local & Euro cable TV and radio channels are available through a local provider. All programming, program services, channel allocations and channels are subject to change at "The Provider's" absolute discretion. The customer acknowledges that many of the channels delivered by "The Provider" over the cable network are under the control of third parties, and as such, "The Provider" and for all intents and purposes, Quayside Apartments, its subsidiary & affiliated companies, management and staff are not responsible for their content, or for any changes in the scheduling or availability of specific programs. The Electronic Programming Guide provided by "The Provider" is correct at the time of preparation. Programs are subject to change without prior notice at the Channel's own discretion.
All apartments are non-smoking. Guests are advised to smoke outdoors or in the common garden. Smoking, Vaping (Electronic Cigarettes) or any other form in the apartments will result in the termination of your stay at Quayside Apartments and an additional one night stay charge will be applied if the room is not aired in time for the next customer. If we realise that you have smoked indoors after departure then you will be notified in writing and asked to settle the one night stay charge as outlined.
Yes, every Apartment has a safety box that can be used free of charge.

If booked directly with Quayside Apartments, please e-mail us on firstname.lastname@example.org for information about changes, requests, restrictions and cancellations. If booked via an agent, any amendments to the bookings need to be done through them.
All apartment reservations require a deposit which may be paid via bank transfer or PayPal.
If you cancel your reservation within 24hours, no cancellation fees apply. If cancelled or in case of "no-show" deposit paid will be forfeited and at the management's discretion, the outstanding amount (total price) of accommodation will be due. At the management's discretion, policy is applicable to modified bookings.

Baby cots and High Chairs are available on request. When booking your stay please request a baby cot and/or High Chair in the comments area.
No, however we can put you through to babysitters. Please inform us at least 5 days in advance to advise you about their charges.
One child under 3 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding.
It takes around 10 minutes by taxi/car to the nearest private hospital which is in Zabbar, 10 minutes by taxi/car to the nearest Public Clinic in Paola and 20 minutes to the nearest Public Hospital (Mater Dei Hospital) in Birkirkara.
The nearest bank is located within walking distance (approx 2 mins walk).

The climate in Malta is typically Mediterranean, with hot, warm summers and wet autumns and cool / cold winters with adequate rainfalls. The hot season is between June and September. The rainy season is between November and March although it does not rain every day. Sunny days are very common in Malta many a times even in winter. The average yearly temperature is around 23°C (73°F) during the day and 16°C (61°F) at night and Malta enjoys one of the most optimal number of hours of daylight in Europe.
Malta boasts a warm climate, numerous recreational areas such as sandy beaches, rocky beaches, live theatre, casinos, nightclubs, bars and restaurants as well as a number of architectural and historical monuments including nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites (the Hypogeum, seven Megalithic Temples as well as our capital city Valletta which was constructed under the authority of the grandmaster Jean Parisot de Vallette in 1566 AD). All of these qualities make Malta a highly attractive and immensely popular tourist destination.
Marsaxlokk is one of the most culturally richest villages in Malta. During the week days Marsaxlokk is teaming with hawkers selling traditional souvenirs to tourists. The Marsaxlokk market has an interesting and lengthy history and is immensely popular on Sundays where hawkers sell a variety of seafood. The inhabitants of the village are known as "Xlukkajri" and many of them are practicing fishermen. A main attraction is Marsaxlokk Bay which is full of traditional Maltese fishing boats called luzzus having the mythical eye of Osiris painted on their prows. The painted eyes on these luzzus are believed to protect fishermen and their boats from harm. These boats are thought to have been used by Maltese sailors since Phoenician times (around 800 BC).
We don't offer car hire services, however we can assist you to arrange car rental services with a local car hire company.
There is ample street parking which is free of charge.
All our apartments cater for twin or double beds including a sofa bed.
Marsaxlokk is well known for its massive Sunday Market and the daily market on a smaller scale. Restaurants, cafeterias and bars are within walking distance. Since fishing is the main industry in Marsaxlokk, all restaurants specialise in Mediterranean dishes.

We stayed in Michelino and we loved this apartment. Jeff was an excellent host, he organised a return airport taxi and a hire car for us. The apartment is an old Maltese house that has been beautifully renovated and extended, with many original features. The courtyard garden was lovely for an evening drink before heading out to one of the many fish restaurants. There is a little sandy beach less than a 5 minute walk away, perfect for a swim after a day out exploring. We would definitely return to these apartments.

We loved everything about this place. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, the location was great - with the bay less than 30 seconds outside the front door and within a 14 min drive to Valetta. The apartment was beautiful, full of character (beautiful tiled floors and beams), very clean and had good facilities (hob, microwave, hairdryer, tv with Netflix). The little courtyard outside was great for when we cooked our own meals too. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to come to Malta.

Michelle was great, she had put some bread, cheese, meat and tomatoes in our room as we did not arrive till late in afternoon so was good to have something to eat. Booking in was really easy. The apartment was right great, so near to the water, could just open the door and sit outside and take in the views of the boats, fishermen etc. Beds were comfortable, shower was great. Beautiful garden out the back to sit in and take in the sun. A real bonus was the laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Loved the position was so quiet for a relaxing break. Our flight was not till later in the day so could leave our luggage, and were offered the use of a bathroom when we returned to freshen up or have a shower. Would highly recommend this apartment.
